We are closely monitoring UK government advice and have the health and wellbeing of all of our customers and our staff at heart. Public Health Authority have advised that receiving parcels is not a risk and that there is no evidence at this time that coronavirus can be spread by products. Our boxes are packed with care as according to current guidelines. Delivery will be via Royal Mail, who have their own stringent guidelines in place for contact-free delivery. Please note that at this time deliveries of your boxes may take slightly longer. We appreciate your understanding and patience in these unprecedented times; thank you for your support.
What is The Running Box?
We are a service creating boxes designed especially for runners. The boxes will differ every month, but they’ll all contain at least two snacks, one drink, our own monthly magazine, a monthly training planner, and two other goodies, such as recovery treats or clothing.
How much does it cost each month?
Prices vary depending on the minimum length you would like to receive your boxes for - the longer you sign-up for, the better value for money! The options are below:
- £19.95/month for a 1 month subscription
- £19.45/month for a 3 months subscription
- £18.95/month for a 6 months subscription
- £17.95/month for a 12 months subscription
By purchasing a The Running Box subscription you acknowledge that your subscription has an initial and recurring payment feature and you accept responsibility for all recurring charges prior to cancellation. Your subscription will be automatically extended for successive monthly periods, at the original subscription rate. Your card will be charged on the 15th of each calendar month for you to receive your box shortly after the dispatch date of the 28th of each month.
Please note the minimum commitment period stated for each subscription. You will not be able to cancel your subscription until your minimum commitment period has ended. Your subscription will not automatically cancel at the end of the commitment period.
If you would like to purchase a gift for a fellow runner (or runner-to-be), prices are as follows:
- £19.95 gift - one-off box (single payment)
- £58.35 gift - 3 boxes over 3 months (single payment)
- £113.70 gift- 6 boxes over 6 months (single payment)
- £215.40 gift - 12 boxes over 12 months (single payment)
Where do you deliver?
We deliver anywhere in the UK via Royal Mail, including the Highlands and Islands, Scilly Isles and the Isle of Man. Regrettably, we do not offer international shipping at this time.
How do I sign up?
It’s quick and easy to order online via The Running Box website. It is possible to view our site without providing any personal details. However, without registering your details with us, you will not be able to order from us.
How do I cancel?
We hope you love your boxes, but if you decide you don't want to continue your subscription beyond your minimum commitment period, please log in to your account on our website by following the 'Manage your account' link at the bottom of any of the emails you have received from us. Confirmation of your cancellation will be received by email. Please note, you must update your account with any cancellation requests before the 15th of the month to ensure your subscription will not renew beyond your minimum commitment period. You will not be able to terminate your subscription until the minimum commitment period of your chosen plan has been fulfilled.
When do I get charged?
When you sign up for a subscription, you will be charged for your first box straight away. Ongoing payments will then be taken on the 15th of every month thereafter until you cancel your subscription. Please note that payments taken on the 15th of the month are for the following month's box; for example, a payment taken on 15th May will be for June's box (which will be dispatched on 28th May). When ordering a gift subscription, full payment is taken at time of order.
How do I change my address or update my payment details?
You can easily change any of your personal details including your delivery address and payment method by logging in to your account on our website by following the 'Manage your account' link at the bottom of any of the emails you have received from us. Please input any alterations by the 15th of the month to ensure they can be processed in time for payment for and dispatch of your next box.
When should my first box arrive?
Boxes are dispatched by Royal Mail on the 28th of each month. Please allow up to 5 working days for delivery.
How do I know my details are safe? (GDPR)
We will only ever ask for personal information from you in order to provide the best service. For example, we will ask for your name, email and physical address, telephone number and payment card details when you sign-up or place an order.
We use your name and contact details for delivery and billing purposes and also to contact you relating to customer service issues. If you default on payments, we may disclose your relevant details to debt collection agencies.
We use carefully selected parties to help us manage your details, and will never share or sell your personal information for their marketing purposes without your permission. These parties include IT, marketing and delivery service providers and we periodically assess their compliance to best practice data processes. Some organisations which provide services to us may transfer data outside of the European Union (EU) but we will only allow this if your data is adequately protected.
We follow GDPR and applicable data protection legislation and comply with the Act in our dealings with your personal data. The Act protects your personal data by providing, amongst other things, that the data we hold about you should be processed lawfully and fairly. It should be accurate, relevant and not excessive. The information should, where necessary, be kept up to date and not retained for longer than is necessary. It should be kept securely to prevent unauthorised access by other people. You have the right to see what is held about you and correct any inaccuracies.
Should we sell or transfer any of our business assets, this may include a sale or transfer of our customer databases to third parties as part of a business sale. This may mean that your personal data may be transferred to countries outside the EEA. Any such sale or transfer of personal data will be under strict conditions of confidentiality and security.
At any point you are able to change your data preferences, a member of our team will be happy to help you.
How do the gift subscriptions work?
Select which option you would like to purchase on the 'Gift Pack' page of the website. Please make sure you input the name of the recipient and their delivery address on checkout. Payment is taken for the full subscription at time of order. If ordered before the 25th, their first box will be dispatched on the 28th of the same month. If ordered after the 25th, their first box will be dispatched on the 28th of the following month.
In your order confirmation email, you will be asked to send us some information about the recipient so we can personalise boxes where required.
A gift card can be provided to you (the purchaser) or sent directly to the recipient. If you would like one, please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org after you have completed your order with the best postal address to send it to. If you would like us to also include a gift note of up to 140 characters, please let us know.
My box hasn’t arrived, what do I do?
Your box will be dispatched on the 28th of the month, so please allow 5 working days thereafter for its arrival. If your box hasn’t been received by then, please contact email@example.com and a member of the team will assist you promptly.
My box has arrived but items are damaged...
Oh no! We're sorry to hear that you've received your box in such a state. Usually the delivery runs smoothly with no damages, we're sorry that this hasn't been the case for you. Please send an email to us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll make sure to rectify the issue as soon as possible.
If you receive a damaged or broken box, declarations must be made within 24 hours of receiving it. The Running Box will send you a replacement box of the same items (or items of a similar purpose and value, depending on stock levels) to replace those damaged or lost in transit. The Running Box does not refund damaged or missing items, and reserves the right to dispute the reception of damaged and/or missing items.
Why do you ask for my shoe size when I sign up?
We ask for your clothing and shoe size as sometimes your boxes may contain clothing or footwear.
We only take personal information from you that will be relevant to products that we provide through the monthly boxes, to ensure you get the best products that are right for you. Your data is held securely and never passed to third parties without obtaining your permission first.
Can I track my delivery?
Your box is dispatched via Royal Mail and should arrive within 5 working days.
Do I need to be home to sign for my box?
Your box does not need to be signed for, however due to the size of the box it will not fit through most standard letterboxes. Depending on your local postman, you may have to pick it up from your local sorting office once in a while if you have missed a delivery.
I have a problem not listed, how do I contact you?
You can contact the team with any queries on email@example.com. A member of the team will get back to you in a timely manner to assist in any way possible.
I’ve reached the end of my contract period, what happens now?
Your membership will continue to run on a rolling monthly basis at the same rate outlined in your chosen subscription plan (excluding any offers or promotions). Once you are out of your contract period you can cancel anytime. See ‘How do I cancel?’ for guidance.
What if I have allergies and dietary requirements?
All products provided through a The Running Box subscription are sourced from suppliers compliant with Food Information for Consumers Regulation (FIC). Unfortunately, we are unable to tailor boxes to specific dietary requirements at this time. All items will have ingredients and allergen information listed on their packaging to ensure you can make an informed choice. Whilst some of the products we supply within in each box may not have allergens such as nuts listed as part of the main ingredients, they may have been manufactured in production facilities working with nut-based or other products.
